Our programs prepare young people for the real world by demonstrating how to generate wealth and effectively manage it. Our programs demonstrate how to create jobs that make communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking in the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities.
Junior Achievement’s unique volunteer delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to bolster the chances of student success. The impact is measurable, too. Students who participate in JA programs demonstrate a significant understanding of economics and business concepts.

Importance of Staying in School
Junior Achievement reinforces the value of education. Evaluations conducted by an independent research firm showed that an average of eight out of 10 high school students reported that JA programs helped reinforce the importance of staying in school. In longitudinal studies, JA students were significantly more likely than their peers to believe that they would graduate from high school, pursue post-secondary education and graduate from college.
