Go! Board uses innovative thinking to keep kids active during pandemic

JA Company Program student startup business, Go! Board, has experienced tremendous growth since it was founded in 2019 at College Park High School. The company was started by students who had the idea to make a game board that focused on promoting social interaction, family unity, wellness and health. Under the leadership of current CEOs Karla Paulina Gonzalez and Noah Seay, the company is having one of its best years ever despite the challenges of operating during a pandemic. Innovative thinking is what these times called for and that is exactly what Go! Board has done. Supported by their dedicated teacher Tonya Brackett, and lead volunteer Zach Richmond (Richmond Realty Group), Go! Board has established a close bond with two different elementary schools in Conroe ISD where they now sell their board games so that the students can enjoy fun-filled physical activities as part of their P.E classes!

Executive officers from Go! Board visited the campuses of Hailey Elementary & Powell Elementary Schools to demonstrate the board game and everyone had so much FUN! We are grateful to these supportive elementary schools for investing in youth entrepreneurship, championing our emerging business leaders from College Park High School, and helping foster inter-district partnerships. Junior Achievement and the JA Company Program are also indebted to Conroe ISD and its leaders for all of your support.
